- Kinder Beauty ( pronounced Kind-er as in nice ) is a new monthly subscription box and was founded by Vegan Actresses Daniella Monet and Evanna Lynch, They wanted to address the issue of animal testing that is done quite frequently in the beauty industry. That alone made me a fan, I’m all for cruelty free products as I’m an avid animal lover ( Not much of a meat eater because of this and would like to completely transition into the vegan world) Kinder Beauty was KIND enough to send me a box to try and I can tell you that I’ll be adding them to my subscriptions.
Every single product that goes into Their boxes are vegan and 100% cruelty free, And a portion of their proceeds go to various animal rights causes. Another reason I love this company and the whole concept behind it And not to mention, The products in the May subscription are all quality products.
- My package arrived quickly in this cute little eco friendly box made from 100% recycled materials and as I mentioned before, All of their products are high quality 100% vegan so you never have to worry about any unknown harmful ingredients being used.
- Monthly subscriptions start at just $24 and every box contains at least $70 worth of Makeup, Skincare, Hair Care, Accessories and more and if you sign up and use my Promo Code LANDRY you’ll also receive a free gift.
- I love the cute little description card they send in the box that tells you whats included and a little bit of information about each product. #kinderbeauty
First off today, I’d like to wish all you Mom’s A Very Happy Mother’s Day!💕 I hope you’re all getting spoiled just the way you deserve. Okay so as you may already know. I’m such a product junkie and seriously can never say no to a trip to Sephora 💗 So, I thought I’d share my recent purchases with you. I’ve made easy for you to shop the products by Attaching the link Underneath each grid, just click and shop.
1.) Olaplex Hair Perfector #3
Love this stuff so much, I can’t say enough good things about this stuff, it’s an at Home concentrated treatment to strengthen your hair from within, to help reduce breakage.
2.) Moroccan Oil Dark Tones Dry Shampoo
Another Favorite I like to use in between washes to keep my hair fresh and this stuff along with ALL Moroccan Oil products smells SO good!
3.) Moroccan Oil Smoothing Lotion
This is a lightweight blow-dry lotion that helps tame any frizz. I take about a quarter size amount and rub onto my hands and run Through my damp hair and blow dry.
4.) Nest Rollerball Mini Perfumes
Love these clean scents of Cocoa Woods, Wild Poppy and Indigo. What I love about the mini’s from Sephora is that it’s a great way to sample new perfumes before buying them because perfumes are pricey and nothing sucks more then buying an expensive perfume and finding out you don’t like it.
5.) Philosophy’s Grace Foaming Bath Gel
This body wash smells so good and leaves your skin feeling so soft and I love that you can still smell the scent hours later.

1.) Queen Beauty Blender
So far I’m really liking this blender. It’s smooth and blends really well. If you’re using it for Contouring, I like to put a tiny amount of water on it before blending. It’s only at Sephora for a limited time.
2.) Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Natural Beige
I’m not a big fan of foundations, probably because at my age it’s not really Necessary but, I do use it sometimes for photo shoots and when I do this is my go to foundation. It’s not greasy and doesn’t feel heavy like some others out there. It also has really great coverage to cover up any imperfections.
3.) Urban Decay All Nighter
This is a long lasting makeup setting spray and I highly recommend it.
4.) Tart Tartelette Tease
I haven’t used it yet but, I like the Neutral colors and I love Tarte products so, I doubt I’ll be disappointed.
5.) Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
Okay, this stuff is seriously the Bomb dot com! You put it on your lips before bed and the next morning your lips are so baby soft and stay that way ALL Day! I mean I can’t say enough about this one.

Some of my favorite gift ideas, whether it be a Birthday, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, Mother’s Day or whatever the occasion is. One of my absolute favorite things to do is create my own gift box. There’s so many fun and creative ideas you can come up with and the best thing is, it’s more personal and heartfelt.
You can find some inexpensive wooden crate type boxes at Michaels, JoAnns And also Etsy has some really cute ones. I like to add a little confetti type filler in the bottom so the items you choose set up high and look nicer before adding the products you’ve chosen.
For The Beauty Lovers
Makeup is something most of us females love but, Buying makeup for someone else is a little weird so instead, I like giving a cute little makeup bag with a gift card to Sephora or Ulta, That way they can get what they like and the makeup bag just adds a little more then “just a gift card” You can also, add other items to it like a face mask and makeup wipes or whatever your creative mind comes up with.
Dinner And A Movie
Dinner and a movie works for just about anyone. You can do a gift card for dinner out and a gift card to a movie theatre or maybe a movie night at home after dinner with a Netflix card and fill a basket full of goodies like candy and popcorn.
IS THIS EVEN A REAL THING?
Well unless you live under a rock, You know quite well that Instagram has become one of the most popular social media sharing apps out there, With well over 900 Million monthly users. Many of you out there are asking questions like how to get “followers”, how to get more “likes”, and even how to get “famous” on Instagram? (I can’t guarantee the famous part) So I’m going to share some tips with you that I recently learned from an Instagram/ Social Media Luncheon that I was invited to recently.
REVAMPING YOUR PAGE
First thing you should do is revamp your page, I started by following a few of my favorite Fashion Bloggers and actually “stalked” their pages for a little Inspo, So that I could get some ideas of how I could revamp my own page to make it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Creating an aesthetic tone makes your page more appealing and who doesn’t want their page to look pretty? ( it’s a girl thing) But, seriously a pretty page draws people in. One of the ways you can create a nice aesthetic tone is with presets that you can download right from your phone to Adobe Lightroom cc app, What exactly is a preset you ask? It’s a color filter that overlays your photos like in the photos above. I’ve just recently started playing around with presets and I’m still trying to get it just right and hopefully mine will one day look as good as some of my favorite Instagram pages. You can find many presets that don’t cost anything and Adobe Lightroom cc has options on their app that you can play around with and there are also some really good presets that you can purchase and there yours to keep forever. Some of my favorite Bloggers have created some amazing presets. A couple of my favorites are https://instagram.com/alexajeanbrown?utm_source=ig_profile_share&igshid=e1btaqxgim22 and https://instagram.com/savannah.usher?utm_source=ig_profile_share&igshid=13ucy3rjmxnd2 and you can find the link to purchase in their bio on Instagram You should try and post 1-2 times a day and post away on your stories. It will keep your followers interested and whatever you do, Don’t post and delete over and over leaving only a couple of photos on your page (because unless most of your followers are personal friends) They will start to get bored and unfollow you. No ones going to be interested in a page that only has very few pictures and only post every so often.
Yes, Yes and Yes! Hashtags absolutely 100% work. Now that I’ve switched to a business account on Instagram, I’m able to see just how well my hashtags are working. With the business account I’m also able to see how many impressions my post is getting, In case you aren’t familiar with what impressions are, It simply means how many people have viewed your post. Think about it, Not everyone who sees your post is going to like it. Something interesting I learned at this recent Luncheon is that “Impressions” actually mean a lot more then “Likes” do, especially if you are selling, promoting, or hoping that as an Influencer companies will take notice. The marketing theory behind this is, let’s say you are an Influencer and there’s a Company you’d like to work with, Their going to be more likely to work with you based on your impressions because if your advertising for them and your getting a lot of views then that means more people are seeing their product, which in turn means more business for them. This is the future of Instagram, Impressions over likes. The picture below is from one of my posts as an example of likes vs impressions.
So as you can see on this post, I got 2k “Likes” but, over 6k “Impressions” It also means that from the hashtags alone, Almost 4k people also saw this particular post. Crazy right? That’s what I thought to but, this is all straight from Instagrams analytics. So get to using those HASHTAGS and watch your numbers start to grow, and even if its slow growing, You will start to see an increase in post likes. Comments can be a big thing to, and as you can see, I don’t get a ton of those but, as long as people are seeing your posts, then that’s what matters most, and never post on your stories to go “Like and Comment” (sorry friends, not personal) Again at this Instagram Marketing lunch that was a key topic. Instagram Marketing Execs. Specifically Said it will only make you appear desperate and you should never have to ask someone to “Like and Comment” They will like it if “They” choose to like it. Its all about being authentic (Their words not mine).
OTHER WAYS TO GROW YOUR FOLLOWING
Another great way to get noticed is by becoming “Instagram Friends” with some of the people you follow that have a lot of followers themselves. Some of them have actually become personal friends and have helped me get where I am now (blogging) Maybe it’s a High profile person, A Business, A Blogger, ETC. and ask them to give you a shout out, This has helped me tremendously and I’ve been able to get quite a few followers because of them and will always be grateful. You MUST engage with your followers and treat them as if you know them personally, Being Authentic is one of the greatest assets you can have in order to build genuine lasting relationships and again, USE THOSE DARN HASHTAGS! I’m a firm believer they work and the Instagram Analytics don’t lie.
BUILD YOUR ENGAGEMENT
Engagement is a way for your followers to get to know you. This includes replying back to comments when possible as well as direct messages, Sometimes it’s hard to reply to messages if you get a lot of them. Another great way is through your captions. I often use a quote I like or sometimes it’s just what I’m feeling at the moment, Maybe it’s just something silly but, it shows your followers a little bit about who you are, Remember like I said be as authentic as possible and especially when commenting on other peoples post so that it doesn’t appear to be a generic or spam comment,
NOW ABOUT THOSE LIKES
Yep you guessed it! HASHTAGS! and of course those beautiful aesthetic photos your going to post with your new presets and remember great and interesting content is key and the more you engage with your followers, It will keep them coming back and hitting that little heart.
NOW WHAT NOT TO DO
DO NOT BUY FOLLOWERS! (this will only increase your chances of IG analytics catching on and deleting those fake accounts) besides if you buy followers, you aren’t going to get those “likes” also, don’t be a spammer (It’s really annoying when people do that and most likely aren’t going to give you a shout out for doing it) Just Another thing I recently learned, Oh and don’t always “Repost” other peoples posts (You don’t want to lose your sense of style and personality on your own Instagram) Remember you’re sharing YOUR life NOT someone else’s. I can’t promise you’ll become “FAMOUS” But, I can promise you that if you are authentic and post great content, over time you will build a following and make some great friends along the way.
I use to get asked this question all the time, How does your skin look so good? Well unfortunately for me, My skin hasn’t been looking so great lately because I’ve entered into that dreaded teen acne phase, You know the one where you wake up one morning and all of a sudden you look in the mirror so horrified and say Wow! what in the world happened? I mean as a kid I always liked to play connect the dots, Just didn’t know I’d be playing it on my face and middle school Kids are quite the comedians and love to tease me about it. (insert eye roll) Luckily for me I have quite the sense of humor but, hey we all go through those awkward teenage years so, instead of focusing on how bad I think I look, I’m focusing on taking care of my skin the best way I can, so that I have that nice bright and clear skin tone, by using the best products and being faithful to my daily routine which I will share with you using TULA SKIN CARE PRODUCTS All of their products are toxic free and contain 100% probiotics and are cruelty free.
STEP ONE | TULA PURIFYING FACIAL CLEANSER
I always start by washing my face with a dime size amount of CLEANSER and a small amount of lukewarm water, Rub the cleanser and water together for a few seconds to get a nice foam, wash your face for 30 seconds to make sure you’ve removed all dirt and oils, Rinse thoroughly. You’ll love how clean and soft your face feels. I absolutely love that it doesn’t dry your face like other cleansers.
STEP TWO | PRO GLYCOLIC 10% PH RESURFACING GEL
Once my face is completely dry, I gently rub the RESURFACING GEL with the cotton exfoliating rounds that I get at Target all over my face. This will gently exfoliate any dead skin. Love the fact that it doesn’t contain any Alcohol so it’s not going to dry your skin and strip away the outer layers which can lead to signs of aging and since this is made with 100% natural probiotics and glycolic acid it will also remove any excess dirt and oils you may have left behind.
STEP THREE | ACNE CLEARING + TONE CORRECTING GEL
I just recently added this to my routine and absolutely love it. I only use this 2 or 3 mornings a week but, I do use it every night. THE ACNE GEL contains 2% Salicylic Acid: Probiotics: Azelaic Acid: Willowherb and Hyaluronic Acid: I also like the fact that it hasn’t dried my skin out like some of the other acne products I’ve used in the past. It also brightens marks left behind from past acne, all while preventing further breakouts. This pretty much sums up my morning routine and only takes about 5 minutes so, even if you’re in a rush you can still manage to work it in.
NIGHT TIME ROUTINE
My night time routine includes all the steps of my morning routine and then I just add one of these three products in the above photo to moisturize my face. Usually my go to is the DAY AND NIGHT CREAM However, 1 or 2 times a week I’ll use the AQUA INFUSION GEL instead, which lasts for 72 hours. I also like to use the AQUA INFUSION POWER LIQUID about once a week which is more like a serum and follow that up with the DAY AND NIGHT CREAM.
And just for a little extra benefit I like to use a good face mask. I’ve found that I really like these masks from JAYJUN every couple of weeks. The Rose, The Hydrating and The
You can order these products online and I’ll link their websites below. Some of the TULA products can also be found at ULTA and the JAYJUN can be found there as well as Nordstrom Rack and Amazon. TULA is currently offering a 15% off discount on your first purchase, ONLINE ONLY. If you like this post or have any questions please comment below.
Since I get asked this question a lot, I thought why not share what I know with those who have no idea where to begin. I’ve been in the Industry for 5 and a half years. I started when I was 9. My mom snapped some photos and began submitting them to local Agencies, We heard nothing. (It definitely didn’t happen overnight) and I didn’t get “discovered” in some glamorous way that you hear about on television. It wasn’t until 6 months later that we resubmitted and guess what? We heard from all but one of those Agencies. Crazy how this business works sometimes. ( I’ll list some reputable Agencies at the end of my post, for those of you in Southern California). If you live elsewhere, please feel free to contact me by signing up with your email or leave a message in the comments section and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
First off, research is key and Google can most definitely be your friend. Now with that being said, Begin by submitting your images to Agencies online. DO NOT limit yourself to just one or two Agencies. Make sure you submit to as many as possible. The reason being, that just because you are not right for one Agency, does not mean you are not right for another. Every Agency is different.
Don’t spend money on professional photos
When you are submitting photos to an Agency, they don’t need expensive professional photos. They only need to see simple snapshots, with little to no makeup, because they want to see what you look like naturally and depending on your age of course. (Photos from your phone will be just fine) Most Agency websites will instruct you on the type of photos to submit. Usually a front facing close up, a full body and a side body photo will do but, as I stated before, Every Agency is different and may have different requirements. If you do get signed with an Agency then and only then will you invest in good quality professional photos by a reputable photographer. Most Agencies will give you a list of photographers they work with and prefer that you use.
Only work with Legitimate Modeling Agencies
Preferably SAG (screen actors guild) Affiliated
▪️Sometimes finding a legitimate Agency can be a daunting task. How do you know who you can trust and do they have your best interest in mind? My advice to you is when scouting the internet looking, make sure you find a SAG affiliated Agency. You can rest assure that they are on the up and up. You don’t need to go to some Modeling school to become a Model. Everyone has a different opinion on those but, here’s the deal, either you have what an Agency wants or you don’t. A “Modeling School” isn’t going to change that. Another thing I’d like to mention is a legitimate Agency isn’t going to chase you down in the Mall and tell you that you’re going to be famous. I mean seriously, don’t you notice how they approach everyone In site? There’s your red flag. You can thank me later and, My last piece of advice would be don’t give up. If this is something you truly want to do, then it’s always worth pursuing. If you don’t hear back for an interview/ Meeting within 2-3 weeks, resubmit in 6 months. Because this business is ever changing and just because you don’t have what they are looking for this time. that doesn’t mean you want have it 6 months from now. (Remember it took me a second time to get noticed) and with that being said, some Agencies get a few thousand submissions a week so, it’s not always possible to find what’s right in front of their eyes. Listed below are a few of the Reputable Southern California Agencies that I mentioned I would share with you and lots of luck if you decide this is for you. I hope I was able to give you enough insight and confidence to get started.
